Science Experiment Project Jet of Flame

In older days when there was no electricity, candle was the main source of light. Even today people use candles in places where there is no supply of electricity. Light the candle with the help of a burning matchstick. Wait for the candle to burn well. Now pour out the excess wax from the candle and blow out the flame. Now Immediately burn a matchstick and bring it close to the wick of the candle.

Remember not to touch the wick with the flame. Soon you will see that the candle with reignite with a quick jet of flame. Every time you repeat this procedure, you will get the same results. This happens because the candle burns with the help of melting wax. After blowing out the candle the wax continues to evaporate because the wick is still hot. The vaporized wax is inflammable in nature, so when you bring a flame close to it, the candle reignites.

You may have noticed that the science experiment project jet of flame is pretty interesting to perform and does not involve the use of much equipment. Children can try this science activity at their homes and find it pretty amusing. Teachers can demonstrate this jet of flame experiment to their students.
