You might be quite familiar with violet flowers. They look beautiful with their brilliant violet color and are used for decorative purposes. Color Changing Flowers :

Soon you will see that the color of flower changes from violet to red. This happens because the violets are known to have same pigment as in the litmus paper.

This pigment turns red in color, when it comes in contact with acid. Incase if you are not able to get access to violet flower, you can try experimenting with a red cabbage juice. The color of red cabbage juice is violet in color. All you have to do is put some drops of this cabbage juice on a white surface and then add few drops of vinegar to them. You will see that the drops will immediately change their color to red.
