First of all take a paper and fold it. Now cut this folded paper with the help of a scissor into a duck. You will get two paper ducks once after cutting is done. Now place a magnetized pin between these two paper ducks in a horizontal position and stick them with the help of glue. Now take a small circular piece of cork and to its center attach this paper duck.

Make another paper duck in the same manner and place them on a dish filled with water. You will be amazed to see that after moving around on the water these two paper ducks will line up with their tail tips or beaks pointing towards the north-south direction.

This happens due to the presence of earth’s magnetic field which makes them point towards north-south direction.

You might have seen that the Magnetic Ducks science experiment is pretty simple to perform and does not require much effort at all. This science experiment can prove to be quite fascinating and amusing for the kids. Children can try this science experiment at their home and show it to their family members or friends.
